Right now, mid-April, is an amazing time to be in Hot Springs, North Carolina. We are adding many unique upgrades to the house this summer-- a bunkroom in the upstairs, new fireplace inserts for cool evenings, and new games and entertainment options for in-town fun.
Hot Springs has to be one of the most beautiful vacation spots in all of western North Carolina. The view from our deck is second to none in town. If you ride up and out toward Spring Creek or out toward Tennessee, you run into too many dark coves that feel dark and dank and offer little view. Even some of the rentals in town offer no views of the mountain. Our house sits on the top of a knoll overlooking the town from the front porch and the beautiful river valley and majestic mountains from the back deck. There simply is no better place to be in town than Strawberry Hill.
We're planning to make a four day weekend pretty soon to add the inserts and the bunk beds so that two families with children can visit and comfortably stay in the home.
But staying in Hot Springs isn't for the faint of heart. You can't stay in Hot Springs for more than a day without running into someone or some thing interesting. Bring your journal, enjoy the beauty, and write down your adverture that you'll undoubtedly have here for posterity. Â
