Do something romantic this weekend!

Deck Views

Would you love to take your loved one to a mountain retreat where you would find romance along with outdoor adventure and quaint shops and eating places?

A week or weekend getaway to Hot Springs might be right for you.  Hot Springs is located approximately 28 miles from Asheville and is "smack-dab" in the Pisgah National Forest.  Hot Springs is an eclectic small town with a colorful history.  There are discoveries, truly, around every bend.  While your stay in Hot Springs will make you feel as though you are far-away (perhaps even in another country), it is within a four-hour drive from many major cities in the Southeastern U.S. (Raleigh, Atlanta, Columbia) and an even shorter drive from Knoxville, Asheville, and Greenville/Spartanburg.

With gas prices as high as they are, Hot Springs will get you somewhere special on a budget.  Speaking of budget-- our rental house is large and private, pet-friendly, offering high speed wireless Internet service, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer.  We have two bedrooms available for the 2008 - 2009 rental year, with an expansion of a bunk room in late 2009.  The house sleeps four with two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full), offers one full bathroom, and a modern kitchen the whole family can enjoy.  For all of these amenities, you might be expected to pay well over $200 per night in Hot Springs from any location within walking distance of everything.  We believe that the Hot Springs experience is so special, it should be extended to all hopeful visitors who seek adventure, relaxation, and a little bit of history.  Other rentals of this quality, in this location will expect you to pay much higher prices.  Visit our rates and terms page to learn how affordable a Hot Springs, North Carolina vacation can really be.

Living Room

Our House on Strawberry Hill, in beautiful Hot Springs, NC, really does have it all-- the house has amazing views (it is the highest point "in-town") with an oversized new deck that overlooks the northern French Broad River valley with her amazing Appalachian peaks.  Mornings can be spent on the deck, with coffee and conversation, while you watch the mist rise like vapor angels from the river to the sky.  Some rentals in Hot Springs are very remote, requiring an hour round trip drive just to come into town.  You can walk from our house to the Hot Spring Resort and Spa, the Diner, the Post Office, the Yellow Teapot, Rock Bottom, the Iron Horse Inn and Restaurant, and Sweet Imaginations.  In fact, if you cross over Bridge Street on foot, you can say you have hiked the width of the Appalachian Trail (it runs right through town!).

The house has been in our family for over 70 years.  We welcome you to enjoy the rocking chair front porch or the amazing deck and drink in the pure oxygen, the colors, the experience that is Hot Springs, North Carolina.Â
